This is more orchestrated than the WP getting it. I think the plan all along was to let Hillary go out there and flounder. Once in a weakened state, there won’t be the same pushback from Hillary supporters when the FBI and Justice take her down. Biden will swoop in to save the day and get the nomination.

Obama is an idiot when it comes to governing the nation but he is a master politician. He plays that game at a different level from the rest of the scoundrels.

Something else I was thinking about yesterday that dovetails with your comment ..... Obama/ValJar are not going to just “wound” Hillary/Bill. A wounded Hill/Bill would be like a wounded Cape Buffalo stalking you in the brush. If they cannot strike a blow that would totally remove them from the political scene (that they want to control - Dem Party - even after Omuslim leaves office), then I think they’ll let her stumble on. Based on what I’m reading about what is being found on Hilly’s server, the comments by the legal beagles, former FBI & intelligence types, what Hilly has done is extraordinarily, horrifically damaging to national security. Her defenses are not holding up & to those who truly understand what she’s done, are laughable. This should put Hillary in jail (along with Huma, Cheryl & gosh knows how many others, including many at the State Department who knew of this private server arrangement). Bill is at risk because the FBI (per Catherine Herridge) has recovered the 30K emails Hilly tried to have wiped (i.e. hide). This enables them to pursue corruption and bribery involving the Clinton Foundation. Chelsea is likely at risk as well - she’s been up to her eyeballs in the Clinton Foundation machinations the last couple of years. One article said the FBI is taking the book that came out ‘Clinton Cash’*, that alleged corruption & bribery, & is matching up, via the emails, the pay for play schemes.
As this gets worse and worse to anyone paying attention who is not a mind-numbed Clintonbot, I think the odds of Obama/ValJar turning the DOJ loose on the Clintons becomes more of a viable scenario because they can “take the Clintos out” in a very thorough, complete way, never to be troubled with them again. Frankly, I also do not see how the intelligence community allows Hilly to become president after she’s damaged national security so badly (’for decades’ some have said - see John Bolton’s comment below as well) including putting human lives at risk - how in the heck do you operate with someone like that in the Oval Office plus there’s the CIC angle ... the troops knowing that American lives mean nothing to the Butcheress of Benghazi ... she either got drunk the night it happened or slept so very well that emails show she overslept & missed an important briefing the morning after our guys died. Anyway, Obama/ValJar taking out the Clintons is a possible scenario ..... one I’d like to see, frankly. I would like for someone to wipe that “100% certain” smile off Hilly’s face & I’m sure there were plenty of FBI agents watching that debate performance who would love to do it. My 2 cents ....

While the significance of the content itself likely diminishes over time, the sensitivity of sources and methods can last decades or longer. Compromising these sources could put lives at risk and ruin billion-dollar collection systems. This is certainly true for “Special Access Program” (SAP) reports, recently prominent because even the State Department withheld 22 Clinton emails in their entirety because they contained SAP material.
