Meaningless popularity contest among self-selected brits.
Trump held his own, but no way he ‘won’ this debate. It was won by the three governors, largely at the expense of Trump and Rubio, and to some extent Ted Cruz.
From one perspective the big winner it Ted Cruz. it doesn’t matter to Cruz if Trump wins on Tuesday; that’s expected. He just needs second of third. This outcome sets up that outcome as Rubio, Kasich, Christie, Bush and Carson will split 50% of the vote roughly evenly. Leaving the other 50% to split 30% Trump and 20% Cruz. Even if Cruz finishes farther back, it’s unlikely with the three governors splitting the establishment vote with Rubio that he will do worse than third, and it won’t be Rubio in second.
That sets South Carolina and beyond very much in Cruz’s sights.
Seems like they dominated the time but I also came in later after the Rubio/Christie dust up.
Jeb's 'sweet spot' comment on abortion was creepy at best.
Ben Carson should have quit after Iowa. He seems lost.
Cruz AND Rubio were shot down and Bush shut up when Trump held his finger up for him to hush. Trump ruled and they knew it. I don’t know what planet you are on but obviously your interstellar connection was faulty if you saw otherwise!
Among Trump’s best moments of the night was the question on Immigration. In case no one noticed, no moderator had the guts to even ask him.
