The media's new focus on Donald Trump's "ground game" in New Hampshire is a classic case of generals fighting the last war.
Given the inadequacies of the Trump's voter targeting and turn-out operation, his strong second place finish in Iowa shows his spontaneous natural strength and appeal. The Iowa Caucus, however, is a narrow and relatively small contest dominated by evangelical Christians. There is a premium on targeting voter contact and turn out.
New Hampshire is a far different animal. There is a greater tradition of voting in the Republican primary with a more diverse electorate, including more Catholics and mainstream Protestant yankees. The New Hampshire primary is more media-driven. They always reject the advice of their Iowa brethren. While organization is not unimportant, it is less important. How the candidates conduct themselves post-Iowa is key. The process is media driven; Bush beat Dole here only after getting owners of WMUR-TV to put on a last minute spot labeling Dole as a taxer to run thru the final three days.

Rubio wants to start WWIII. Enough said Trump.
Trump should preemptively call them on it. He should congratulate Rubio for winning the debate right out of the gate.
Get back to the issues. Point out that socialism is a failure, that Europeans protesting the Islamic invasion have posters of you, and kicking the illegals out of the country.
And stay off of Twitter.
Trump only needs to stay the course. I think we have seen that in his last couple rallies. The battle is between Cruz and Rubio. If they waste their efforts on Trump neither will advance.
Trumps problem if he has one isn’t going to be losing people who are for him. It’s the huge numbers of undecided voters and how they will break. I still think he will win though.
Is Megyn Smug moderating? Oh good Lord, prepare the smug alerts. Please evacuate the room, the smug percentage is at a dangerous level.
Stay off the defensive attitude and get down to what he will do on the issues that face the nation, not just I will make America great again, we need some sneak preview details. Open the box a little
No, this debate is on ABC. I’m not familiar with the moderators, but the odds are they are liberal.
He must avoid exposing his ignorance of every subject except real estate development. As the numbers of candidates in the debates dwindle, it will be more difficult for him to do that, but that’s all he really needs to do.
ABC? Oh God that’s even worse. I can just imagine the questions “Mr. Trump, all immigrants are not rapists. Can you explain why you would call all immigrants rapists and drug dealers?”
I have a good line that could help Jebra. After he finishes giving one of his memorized bits about how great he was in Florida, he should end with “And I am the only candidate from Florida who was never even invited to a gay foam party.”
Trump should start out by asking, “where’s Carly?” She earned the right to participate.
I take comfort in the loyalty of Trump supporters. Like he said, he could stand in the middle of 5th Ave. and shoot someone and his supporters wouldn’t waiver.
But the whole world is against him and will be evident in the debate.
They do need to get out and vote, though.
My belief is Cruz is running against Rubio now for the same reason he did in Iowa at the end - they don’t see the Trump support the polls show.
A good point well made.................

They already had a debate with them (I think 2nd debate). They did fine but of course liberal but they didn’t show it at least that debate. I think most were happy with the debate at the time.
Drop another "F" bomb?
Good to know. Hopefully they will be fair again.
