I get so tired of the spin from the MSM and the Obama administration of how well our economy is doing and how many jobs are being created. To put truth to the lie, all you have to do is look at the government’s own statistics. In 1994, unemployment was 5.7%. Today, it’s reported to be 4.9%. In 1994, the U.S. population was 265 million. Today, it’s 322 million—an increase in population of 21%. Back in 1994, the number of people NOT in the labor force was 66 million. Today, that number is over 95 million, or an increase of 44%. If the number of people that are no longer in the labor force has grown at a pace that’s more than DOUBLE the percentage of population growth, it’s statistically impossible for “unemployment” to be a smaller number.
Depends on what the meaning of "statistically impossible" is.
Good news comrades, our chocolate allotment has increased from 20oz to 15oz. Thank you Dear Leader.
It’s like inflation. They constantly manipulate the inflation figures (1)so they don’t have to increase cost of living increases on social security and other social programs that have a cost-of-living component; (2) they don’t have to pay on inflation-adjust T-bills. So they constantly change their “basket of goods” to conclude there is no inflation by putting in “substitutes.” For example, if once the cost of meat was measured by a piece of steak, it is now cat food as a substitute.
