To paraphrase Gus McCall, Scott Eckersley is a weak vessel to pour much faith into.
He was fired by the republican governor of Missouri who he then sued. He'd been working on governor Blunt's staff for less than a year when he got fired. He alleged it was because he advised the staff that under the Sunshine Law, certain emails had to be retained.
The governor's office told media that Eckersley never gave such advice and said Eckersley was fired for being late and doing private legal work on state time. His bosses then released emails from Eckersley's work account (and his personal account, too, he claims) to support those claims, as well as other email that stirred speculation about aspects of Eckersley's personal life.
His true colors came out as he switched parties and ran a losing campaign in a solid republican district trying to blame a report that his campaign was shutting down. He then went to Utah and was arrested.
If this is the smoking gun the Trump fanboys think proves their case they are in trouble.
But they won’t read it, it might cause a conflict in their already made up minds.
