Trump's favorite outlet is this popular teenage social networking site. This is where he chooses to verbalize his thoughts on anything that comes to mind. He uses it like his personal megaphone.

Any thing he wants to say makes he first tweets it, then if it gets picked up as something that catches the news cycle, he then starts verbalizing it.

So because Trump thinks this is newsworthy, it is newsworthy for this political cycle until he is defeated in the presidential contest.
