The day after accusing Ted Cruz of winning the Iowa caucuses unfairly and asking for a rematch in the state, Donald Trump says he's now over it.
"I'm so much into this, into New Hampshire, that I just â I don't care about that anymore," Trump said in an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper in Manchester, just five days out from next Tuesday's primary contest here. "This is the place I'm focused on now."
These comments, made at Theo's, a popular local pizza joint that serves up specialty Italian and Greek dishes, were in stark contrast to a tirade of angry tweets Trump sent out the day before, where he charged that the Texas senator had committed "fraud" in Iowa and called for a "new election."
The controversy started when CNN reported Monday night that Carson would go home to Florida following the Iowa caucuses instead of flying directly to the early voting states New Hampshire and South Carolina. The network added that he planned to stay in the race.
Some Cruz allies shared that news widely on the night of the caucuses, including to Carson supporters, but did not include the part about Carson remaining in the race.

He’ll nail him at the debate;no point whining today.
Plus,it’s a one delegate difference. Big deal?
Crazy as a fox, like we boat sailors used to say. Funny how almost every submariner I know understands what Trump is doing and everyone else is scratching their heads. They don’t know what he is up to - well they aren’t supposed to.
This guy is all over the place. Maybe he would nuke Denmark...
Trump reminds me a lot of Rickover. That may be the key. :-)
Read post 14. We submariners get what he is up to. Maybe you should go spend some time and "think of it."
I hate to say it (or not), but Trump pulled it off again.
The Media goes nuts, Cruz goes nuts and spends the day talking about his Apology to Carson while Trump goes about his Business Rallying Voters in NH.
Watched both his Speeches today in NH and he was back on message like nothing ever happened. I was simply amazed.
He causes a stir and he must sit back and laugh to himself.
He owns the Media cycle and none of them even realize it. It should be owned by Cruz this week after his win, but no.
The guy is playing Chess and the clueless Checkers crowd is sitting in the corner Crowning their Kings thinking they are winning the game.
Of course time will tell, but if Trump takes NH, Iowa will be a distant memory. If he also takes SC, the Republican Field will be down to a half dozen Contenders if that.
BEST Election Season EVA!
Just shake things up and keep the other guy off balance to see what shakes out.
Go Trump!!
He knows when to pivot.
Why should he care? He has the MSM doing all the work for him!
Give him a minute — he’ll have another seizure.....

Shucks. We all are a little nuts. I am glad someone has a memory like mine.
I think he means that Trump does not think he can get more free press out of it.
