Cruz uses Jimmy Carter's words in anti-Trump ad

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz is using video of former President Jimmy Carter against rival Donald Trump.

A new ad released Thursday quotes Carter, who said Wednesday that if he had to pick between the two, he "would choose Trump" over Cruz.

"Trump has proven already that he's completely malleable," Carter, a Democrat, continues in the clip. "I don't think he has any fixed opinions that he would really go to the White House and fight for. Ted Cruz is not malleable."

Jimmy was honest on this subject. Who would be of all the candidates most malleable? Who has the most affinity to the Democrats? Who brags about how he cuts deals? One man stands out as the ultimate perfect Republican candidate for the Democrats. That man is Donald Trump. Donald should also have Jimmy’s voice endorsing him in advertisements.

Love it! Jimmy succinctly makes the case for Cruz.

Vote for Ted
He’s inflexible!
and with his lack of popularity on both sides of the aisle
you are almost assured of a hamstrung ineffective presidency

Not that its ever going to happen

‘In his response, he explained that Cruz has far right-wing policies that he would pursue if he makes it to the White House. ‘

LOL, so its OK if youre a liberal to pursue hard left policies but not OK for the rigt to pursue theirs. OK...LOL...there you have it. I thought liberals were of the ‘Im OK, you’re OK’ school. Seems not as tolerant and open minded as they would have us believe. We knew that already tho...

That’s a pretty damning statement. And true.

I heard them talking about how stupid Carter was for letting the cat out of the bag on this one.

The most intolerant people I know are liberals.

“It takes one to know one.”

I disagree. Carter is very firm in his anti-semitism and anti-free market beliefs.

Those were the kind of attacks made by Establishment McCain and Romney promoters. Are you sure you are on the right board?

Cruz is really getting off into never never land. He’s fallen for Jimmy’s reverse psychology attempt to drive voters away from Trump, the candidate he and the Dims fear because Trump is attracting Reagan Democrats and higher numbers of black voters than any Republican in decades.

Ted needs to take a break from the campaign, like Dr. Carson, and try reorient his thinking back to some rational level.

I have been involved in many campaigns over the last 40 years and I myself have run in many as well. When a Republican endorses a Democrat or when a Democrat endorses a Republican, it’s a good thing. You wear it like a badge of honor.

Makes me wonder what would have happened had Trump run as a Democrat.

Would the Republicans have even been debating the immigration issue ?

Would Megyn Kelly have a job ?

Would Hillary have to have been taken away in a straight-jacket from the first debate ?

Would Rush Limbaugh still be ‘king’ on FR ?

Trump used those liberal talking points on Cruz. Nobody likes him. Apparently, Texas and Iowa do, but people with liberal New York values don’t.

Jimmy Carter never met a dictator he couldn't love.

So far Trump has lauded and defended Putin and admired Kim Jong-Un.
