The same was true of Howard Zinn. He flew bombing missions over Europe, which turned him into a pacifist. He probably did more damage to this country than anyone else most Americans have never heard of.

He (Zinn) probably did more damage to this country... You made a very good point there. Being a combat vet and then a pacifist does not make you right, or even give your political views any special weight.
