In a little-noticed interview earlier this year with Univision's Jorge Ramos, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)79% declared that, as President, he would keep Barack Obama's executive amnesty for DREAMers in place until it was permanently codified through legislation.
Rubio said, in part:
DACA...applies to young people that arrived in this country at a very young age before they were adults and I don't think we can immediately revoke that... I'm not calling for it to be revoked tomorrow, or this week, or right away.
"I think it will have to end at some point and I hope it will end because of some reform to the immigration laws," Rubio said in English.
So Rubio is pledging to carry Obama's policy: leaving the executive amnesty for DREAMers in place until Congress submits to the order by legislatively ratifying amnesty. After a legislatively ratified DREAM Act, illegal aliens would be able to vote in U.S. elections and bring their relatives to work and collect entitlements in the United States.
The similarity to President Obama's rhetoric is striking. President Obama told Congress: "if folks are serious about getting immigration reform done [they should be] passing a bill and getting it to my desk. And then the executive actions that I take go away." Similarly, Obama told George Stephanopoulos after being pressed on his executive amnesty: "Well, my response is pass a bill."
Most famously, Obama said: "To those members of Congress who question my authority to make our immigration system work better, or question the wisdom of me acting where Congress has failed, I have one answer: "
In the interview, Ramos asked Rubio something that Rubio has not been asked in any of the Presidential debates thus far: "Would a President Rubio revoke Deferred Action and executive action by President Barack Obama?"

He is a conservative
His business background, his style, his recently stated positions and statements on his website plus his ability to get things done. I really think he sees that America is in trouble and needs a charger to get things done.
We have to look at our choices. I like Cruz and would certainly vote for him. I just think Trump would build the wall, etc. . get things Done! Yes, I am repeating myself, but doggone it, who else is going to maybe do all that needs to be done if America has a chance of restoring itself?
The Rinos? Same ole, same ole and full on socialism. And Hillary? Eight more years of Obama/communism/tyranny and country done by 2024, I mean 3rd world, assuming we're not invaded by then.
Jeb! Rubio
Marco Bush
What’s the difference?
If Trump does not start now ending his Twitter rants against people he will implode. The GOPe now know that he will respond to any tweet attacking him from a candidate, legislator, etc. Today GOPe Senator Ben Sasse goaded him with a tweet that I hope he does not take. Others will continue to make this about his attacks and tweeting rather than the issues that let him rise to the top of the polls. If he does not get attention back on those issues he loses.
Rubio Feet in mouth moment
Anyone would be better than Hillary/Bernie. (they are the same)
Rubio, Jeb, and Christie are GOPe. not much different then Dems and one worlders.
Carson is very intellgent of course but not capable of being President or a leader.
Trump is an outstanding marketer and entertainer. He’s a fair business man. He’s nuttier then a fruitcake and I dont trust that he’s not a backdoor dem.
Cruz is intelligent and about as honest as any politician. I think he understands the system well enough to revamp it. AND he is willing to do it. he’s far from perfect.
He's the only Rubio supporter I've seen on FR and think he should have a chance to opine on behalf of his boy.
Pretty much how I see it. If I could just pick, it would be Cruz. I just don’t think he’ll win the general. Trump has the best chance for that imho. I pray to God Trump isn’t a plant as you said. I discount that because I don’t think that goes with his psychological makeup, but I could be wrong.
...(is Ramos about to pull a Derringer out from under his belt...?)
OH NO ! Rubio ???? NOT ANOTHER OBAMA ))
Obola-Rubio — only for ILLEGALS ?! Do they vote ? Only ILLEGALLY ))
Just posted the article...up to you to decide...haven’t seen any law suits come out over it....
[But Rush likes Rubio]
True, that’s why a good new name Rush is Rushio...’a little Spanish there’.
He’s been cozy with the Clintons, Bloombergs, and other ultra left wing crowd far too long for me to ever trust.
And don’t imagine that the second amnesty will be tossed aside either... I’m sure it’ll be Rubio’s first executive order, with any challenge to violating the comment period rules to point to the executive order of Obama’s as being plenty of notice.
I disagree and think Cruz is his principal threat. There is enormous overlap in Cruz and Trump supporters as evidence by the split here on FR and the large number of folks that would find either acceptable.
Right now Rubio has only seized control of the "Establishment Lane" which always wanted anybody but Trump or Cruz.
But that lane is a minority of GOP primary voters.
What makes this race become clearer is the consolidation into two primary lanes, Insurgency and Establishment...just about the same as it's always been, and where we all knew this war would be fought.
It's going to be Trump or Cruz vs Rubio.
The Establishment minion amnesty rube.
