This is the sort of evidence that would be brought to light should Carson “sue” e.g. the RNC for redress.
Like I suggested to you earlier, I simply don’t think he would prevail — on the merits.
Hint: clothes can be purchased in Iowa... or maybe you could have packed better... or if your suits are THAT meaningful to you, maybe a staffer could go get them....
Unless, shockingly, it wasn't about clothes, and you needed a well-deserved break.... but announcing it, during the very first of many primaries/caucii, may not have been wise. Just sayin'. And blaming it on another candidate, or even the scum in the media, is also not really fair. This was your mistake, sir. Own up to it. Your timing, and whom you said it to.... that's all on you.
Carson is being more than a tad coy. It’s not necessary for him to fly home for a change of clothes. There was more going on.
Tempest in a teapot.
Not to those poeple who bother to learn the truth, which it seems you are not.
i served for many years as a gop precinct captain in cook county suburbs ... the word piety is not in the job description. during primary season pretty much anything goes. politics is not bean bag ... not even close.
Some judge on Fox just said that the vote fraud wouldn’t be actionable, but that the vote coercion of the mailer would be since Iowa law says something like attempts to coerce voting is a felony in Iowa.
I don’t think it will go there...at least not by Trump. I think this is strategic action on Trump’s part to diminish the Iowa win on Cruz’s part.
Carson won’t be suing the RNC, in fact, he’s negotiating the price for his base to sell to GOP-e boy Rubio. The agreed-upon price quite obviously included anon-stop hits on Cruz clause, as did Sarah’s.
On a side note, I would say that Cruz's team would have had more of a reason to believe it than I did, since several of Carson's team had moved over to Cruz and I'm guessing they had shared what shape things were in at Carson's headquarters. But that's just an assumption on my part.
Either way, Cruz apologized, and Carson, Trump and Rubio are still going after him. I'm going to "guess" that Carson is suffering from "sour grapes" against the people who deserted his campaign, since he said he accepted Cruz's apology, but demanded Cruz "fire people".
Rubio and Trump are just using this for their own political gain. Since no apology will ever suffice for their agenda....and they can't get away with having Cruz publicly flogged, stoned or forced out of the race.....the more they rant on, the more desperate they seem to me.
>> the vote coercion of the mailer would be since Iowa law says something like attempts to coerce voting is a felony in Iowa
Depends on the definition of “coerce voting”. I could see blackmail or a physical threat falling into that category... but shaming by mail?
IIRC the mailer didn’t say “Go vote for X”, just “Go vote in the primary”. I could be wrong about that however.
Cruz is politics as usual. And now his defense is that nobody should complain about his campaign practicing politics as usual?
Cruz has been asking us to take a whole lotta' steps with him, down that slippery slope.
From what I read, Donald Trump flies home every night, so please let it be known he has no intention of dropping out. Trump, Carson, and Fiorina, blessedly so, are not professional politicians, and therein lies their appeal.
Well I thought so, too, in my mind’s eye. I suspect Dr. Carson perhaps had a family emergency he did not want publicized, which is his right.
Your Mother Was a Hampster and Your Father Smelled of Elderberries!
[Have to repeat myself on multiple threads to keep with the new normal]
Carson is as of this writing, STILL NOWHERE TO BE FOUND in New Hampshire.
Yes. God forbid he go to a prayer breakfast......more christian bashing from you. Typical.
ROFL
RE: Yes. God forbid he go to a prayer breakfast......more christian bashing from you. Typical.
Excuse me? As a Christian, why would I bash another and when did I do it?
OK, he goes to a prayer breakfast, is it a whole day event?
No. But he still has to get to New Hampshire. I would imagine he will be there by 5 or so. He knows New Hampshire is not his state. He actually would be better off going directly to South Carolina.
The question know one has bothered to ask is,who is this Rubio Donor Conrad Close?
Why has he not been mentioned? His tweet was 15 minutes before CNN went on the air with the story,I smell Rubio dirty trick
