While we obsess over Trump, something TRULY terrifying is happening…

It’s impossible to escape the media’s obsession with the presidential race, the escalating trash-talking and whether or not Hillary cheated in Iowa (just kidding about the last part – of course the media isn’t focusing on Hillary cheating).

However, if there’s anything that proves how absolutely crucial this election is and whom we elect to protect our nation, it’s this story.

The former and now deceased president of Libya, Muammar Gaddafi, once stated that Islam will overtake Europe without firing a shot. Acclaimed writer and author Mark Steyn wrote of the phenomenon of Islamic migration and the resulting demographic shift in Europe in his book America Alone.

But you don’t have to believe them, just read and study the Islamic principle of Al Hijra. And I’m not going to explain it, you need to educate yourself if you don’t know — or else become a dhimmi.

—Witness his obviously complete lack of knowledge about the nuclear triad—

“That is a nothing burger at the early stages of the campaign trail.”

Exactly.

That was a stupid gotcha by uber GOPe mouthpiece Hugh Hewitt.

Knowing arcane jargon or not means nothing.

Interesting turn of events is that Hewitt is now a huge Trump booster, always talking about his brilliance.

Trump will be on Hewitt’s show today.

I am a Cruz support but been on the fence with Trump. However, the last few days of Trump have been unacceptable for me. He essentially tied in Iowa and is leading in NH but chose to go into the gutter instead of acting like a leader.

The problem with destroying ISIS “utterly and completely” is you’ll need several hundred thousand ground troops to do it. Bombing alone won’t accomplish it. And what will the American people think when some of our soldiers are captured and then beheaded on live TV?

I hate ISIS as much as anyone, but when will we stop it with the Middle East and the endless wars? Unless our men get some rules of engagement designed to actually kill the enemy, this struggle will continue indefinitely.

Then we’ll agree to disagree. The term has been in use by more than intellectual eggheads for decades and, in my mind, a candidate for president ought to be at least somewhat conversant in such things.

Rubio is sliding in home plate while Trump and Cruz play keep away in the outfield. But Trump started it all, so it is ok with you if Rubio finishes it.

And Trump is studiously avoiding attacking Rubio. It’s Cruz v. the World.

I think Rubio’s real support is as nebulous as Carson’s.

I switched from Cruz as my preference two weeks ago, and I agree, Trump needs to refocus on the issues that brought him to the top. I don't care for what he's doing, and hope he changes.

Unfortunately, Cruz has shown himself to be less than trustworthy, and perfectly capable of being in the gutter this past week as well.

Why isn't that a deal breaker for you, in the same way it is for Trump?

It seems to be OK with Trump. Not me.

See post 47 for txhurl:

“And Trump is studiously avoiding attacking Rubio”

Personally, I think Rubio is DOA because of his Gang of Eight activities.

Rubio's real support is that he's a naturally good candidate. Telegenic, likable, speaks well, appears trustorthy on the surface and can sell himself.

We all know (here) that he's bought by the amnesty lobby. His big consituency will now be the GOPe donors, he's their only hope (Obiwan).

Ok, fine by me. I must be an egghead because to be honest, I have used that term 'triad' in the past but the more important issue is to maintain a balance of weapons.

When I was a teenager, we had 1054 ICBM's (1000 Minutemen, 54 Titan II), 656 SLBM's (Polaris and Poseidon missiles being phased in) and approximately 500 to 600 strategic bombers, B-52's, B-58's and some remaining B-47's capable of intercontinental missions with in-flight refueling. THAT was a good mix.

But during the Nixon Administration, Melvin Laird began pushing the idea of reducing land based missiles with the idea of removing easy targets from Soviet planners, whether that was a valid idea was never proven.

Sorry for the long winded rant, we start talking about strategic weapons and it brings out my inner General Ripper, lol

Have a good day Sir.

I disagree. I was involved in one side of the planning for OIF and OEF; the side that focused on the heavy use of combined special operations units, augmented by specially-configured intelligence and air support, as opposed to the deployment of conventional troops. Unfortunately, it was the side that lost the debate, with Powell and Rumsfeld winning the argument for the deployment of large conventional units.

As the late GEN (Ret.) Wayne Downing said at the time (and I paraphrase), “Deploying large numbers of conventional troops into such an environment, lacking the training for operations in an unconventional environment, is just creating a target-rich environment for terrorists.” I think the record in both Iraq and Afghanistan would prove him prescient and correct.

The islamic calendar starts with the Medina Al Hijra.

Back when I was studying "World History" in grade school, they called it the Hegira.

"Hijra" is the original Arabic, and alien to our mother language. English speakers shouldn't use it as a calque, as if there were no English equivalent word.

We should prefer the English spellings and pronunciations, rather than give Arab demographic assailants the idea that they are "schooling" the infidels. Time to knock off the kumbaya, huggy-wuggy Mr. Rogers stuff.

Trump’s initial reaction at the Town Hall was very low key and without bluster. Then he got back on his soapbox at the following rally. Disappointing.

Trump is willing to say (and hopefully do) things like stopping muslim immigration to America which the other candidates are not.

That is why I support Trump.

Like that bubble liberal who ‘didn’t know anybody who voted for Nixon’, who exactly supports Rubio and why? Does Gowdy believe that strongly in the long arm of the GOP-e?

.
FAIL!

Cruz is the only candidate that can get the agenda done.

Trump got immensely popular mimicking Cruz’ positions, but he has no idea how to put those measures into effect.

This is a real life example of the sorcerer’s apprentice attempting to upstage the real sorcerer.

Jihad by immigration has been ongoing for centuries.....only now it's by invitation as the NWO Elites spread the populations throughout the Western world.

Trump will not be stopping this no matter what he says he will do or not do. He's already stated that US wages ‘have to be competitive’ with the rest of the world....he would not make that statement if he wasn't aware of the agenda for “Human Capital”....and which our borders will be “fixed” to control these "employees" more effectively for the corporations he says he'll be bringing back. ....which won't come if the pay scale isn't matched.
