The younger brother of the disgraced former Chinese presidential aide Ling Jihua has reportedly defected to the United States and revealed some of the mainlandâs most confidential intelligence to the American government.
The American news website Washington Free Beacon also reported on Wednesday that undercover Chinese agents in the US had been trying to capture or kill Ling Wancheng, who has been hiding in the country.
Ling Wancheng had revealed secrets involving procedures for Chinese leaders when using nuclear weapons, including the release codes for nuclear armaments and steps taken in preparing nuclear forces for attack, the report said.
Other secrets he revealed included details about the Chinese leadership and its facilities, including the compound in Beijing known as Zhongnanhai, which is the headquarters of Chinaâs central government and also the residence of the most senior Chinese leaders.
This information would be valuable to US internet spies, specifically for cyber intelligence operations that targeted the secretive Chinese leadership, the report said.

P!
Hmm. Nothing like alerting any Chinese agents who didn’t already know about his presence.
Well, Hillary gave the Chinese top secret information. It is only fair one of theirs does the same.
I read this yesterday, very interesting stuff.
Watch out they have friends in the clintons, death pool alert, hillary will have to answer the phone at 3 am you can bet on that!
Not any more!!!
The report is from China, so it’s may very well be an exaggeration
Probably too good to be truedepartment.
This guy won’t be alive for long if Hillary gets power. She will take the bribe money from the Chinese and tell the hit-men where he is living.
“The Chinese government has been negotiating with the US over Ling Wancheng’s repatriation.”
Ling won’t make it to the Hillary inauguration. Obama’s already bought Ling’s return First Class ticket on Air China. Zero’s just trying to figure out how many Gitmo jihadis he can release as a result of the “negotiations”.
The only difference is Hillary did not leave for China!
“The only difference is Hillary did not leave for China!”

I say we all chip in and buy her a one-way ticket to Beijing.
China Ping, For Your Interest.
“Although this whale jumped onto their ship - this is a major coup for US intelligence agencies.”
Apparently, there are a lot of big players in China looking to get out. There has been a spate of recent disappearances of Chinese billionaires - unknown whether they have been detained by the government, have bolted the country, or some mix of these. Capital flight has continued to accelerate since last August’s financial crisis, despite the government’s attempts to restrict it.
High ranking politicians and Party apparatchiks are also looking to bolt, as the internal party purge has gotten nastier than it has been in decades.
There could be more where this asset came from, but it would be hard to get a better positioned asset than the top leader’s chief of staff.
If Xi ever loses power, he may end up in front of a firing squad, or simply disappeared and buried without a trace. That's the thing about a term-limited non-hereditary dictatorship where the dictator holds absolute power - the structure is inherently unstable - the temptation is always for the dictator to entrench himself in power as Xi is doing now. If the Politburo doesn't quash Xi, he will become President-for-Life, because stepping down will mean going into exile to avoid the wrath of his enemies.
The future of China is at stake in these palace intrigues.
An economic crisis will ramp up the heat.
The Deng Era is over.
Could see a new “Cultural Revolution”.
