Seriously, How Can Ted Cruz Supporters Defend This?…
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | Febtruary 2, 2016 | Sundance

Earlier today Ted Cruz sent out a blitz of fundraising emails on the heels of his Iowa victory. Here's an example (screen grabbed), and pay attention to the two bullet points Cruz puts at the bottom of email:

Spokespersons do not influence policy, they merely report policy. It is the policy makers that is at issue and so it makes no difference if Trump hired a pit bull to take on the media, good for him, it was a brilliant move. Heck, there are things that Mac X said that even I totally agree with as he wasn't the flaming Marxist/communist he is wrongfully portrayed to be.

So please, dispense with the garnish and get to the meat.

And the meat is in those closest to the candidates. Take for instance Trump's right hand man, Michael Cohen who is possibly still a registered democrat working as the right hand man of a guy running for the republican nominee. How does Trump make that one work and why has it not been brought up in the media?

See what I mean? It is all politics and whether we play their game is up to us, because even the so-called outsiders are really not outsiders after all.

So there you have it, I have not put my foot in any candidate's political pond. I am simply watching, studying and peeling back the rather stinky onion layers to ALL these political candidates and as usual, when election day arrives, I will sit down, look at all the evidence, fill out my sample ballot and then take it to the polls and fill out the real deal. I learned a long time ago that to financially & physically support any one person is not in my best interest, and that includes Ronald Reagan, as much as I liked him, he was not the political saint the constitutionalists in name only like to portray him as. But the one thing Reagan had that none of today's candidates has is my respect & first and foremost, if you do not have my respect, you will not get my vote.

Nope. Look again. You'll note that most of the money contributed WAS by individuals. That’s a common way for organisations (sic) to get around campaign finance laws - give some employees “bonuses” which end up being donated to candidates the organisation supports.

Umm, nope. Do you think the FEC is stupid? I'm not saying that it DOES NOT occur, but it is not common.

Any company that does engage in this kind of behavior would NOT identify it as a bonus. That's like a red flag to investigators.

Like club memberships used for business entertainment, some employers require their top execs to maintain personal club memberships. Some employers require political contributions. Both are contrary to the law as written.

Those monies (plus additional monies to compensate for the taxes on the additional income) are lumped into their salaries to better hide them from IRS & FEC scrutiny.

But Trump is even uglier on the issue of paid influence. Yes, the Donald is "self-financing" his campaign -- allegedly.

But has he placed his assets in trust yet? Nope.

Is he receiving payments for his goods and services from big monied interests? Yes.

Is he perhaps being overpaid for those goods and services? Yep. Is the Donald paying for some of his endorsements? You betcha.

You will never keep money out of politics (and that's a liberal mindset, anyway). The harder you try to regulate money in politics, the greater the amount of money and effort will be used to get around the rules.

Donald is bought and paid for like every other politician. His money influence is just more personal and more unseemly.

We need you here. I am sorta tired to but this is the fight for America. If it wasn’t so important, I’d not be so passionate. We all will get through this. It does seem like we have a long way to go though.

Sorry, but as I said, I totally agree with Levin and he had every right to get angry at Sundance about their trying to link his finace’s son working for Cruz's Senate office as being some of political cronyism. As for the 5k offer, if you understood Levin's personal background, which is very public, that offer he made is 100% keeping in line with Levin's personal stance as a father, it has nothing to do with politics. Levin will protect the innocent of his family even if it costs him dearly and there is nothing wrong with that given Levin's high profile work in radio and with Landmark Legal Foundation.

Sorry, but as a parent of equal parenting values as Mark, if in the same situation, I would do the exact same thing that Levin did, protect the innocent of my family at all costs in order to shut down a sewer rat that has no character, because it is about the character, it is not about politics, that is what Sundance did, went after Levin's character through his soon to be son by marriage and to me, that is despicable & inexcusable.

The phrase “natural born” is not defined by the Constitution, and the SC has yet to rule on the matter.

Cruz is attempting to set a dangerous precedent. Have we become so short-sighted at this point that we are open to electing a president born on foreign soil to a father who was a foreign national?

I don’t know what Cruz did or didn’t do, but I do know it made no difference in the outcome.

All Levin had to do was say on air that his soon to be son in law worked for Cruz. Done. Why be so over the top ridiculous about it? Not to mention, I would guess this soon to be son in law is an adult. Nobody is talking trash about his son. just want things above board. Levin seemed to really have a problem with that.

Thanks. I went to the same site, but didn’t find that table.

Still, far be it from me to infringe on your character assassination of Cruz, but it might have been just a tad more honest if you had included this along with it, which appears below the table:

“This table lists the top donors to this candidate in 2011-2016. The organizations themselves did not donate, rather the money came from the organizations’ PACs, their individual members or employees or owners, and those individuals’ immediate families. Organization totals include subsidiaries and affiliates.”

So, bearing this in mind, and using your logic, Trump is “bought and paid for” by every company or corporation that employs someone who has donated or will donate to his campaign.

Why is yours so much different than this one? I don’t know how to convert to a .jpg or I’d post the whole thing.

In any case, Ted Cruz saying he’s not in bed with big money is an out and out lie.

If the funny stuff going on in Iowa conintues throughout the process, you may be right, and the dirty tricks will take him down.

That said, I base my preference for a candidate on my main concerns.

Closing our borders to illegals and Islamic hijrah invasion.

Dealing with our economic mess, which will take this country down if not turned around.

Rebuilding our military for our defense, and taking care of our vets.

Stopping Common Core and Obama-care. The Fed Gove doesn’t even run the post office properly, never mind these two huge segments of our economy.

If not Trump, which other candidate has a chance? That said, he isn’t perfect, and may fail. I am willing to take the risk. Cruz is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, Rubio is a tool, and Jeb is more of the same cr@p we have put up with for the past decade or so.

If you don’t think the powers that be will use Cruz to take out Trump, then eliminate him, using pretty boy Rubio, and then bring up all sorts of stuff on Rubio to get to Jeb!, then I want some of what you are smoking!

The phrase "natural born" is not defined by the Constitution

And there is the ruse, say something does not say something when in fact, the very language of the Constitution does define who is a natural born citizen.

Elk v. Wilkins, 112 U.S. 94 (1884)

Before a naturalized person attains the privilege of becoming a US citizen they must renounce their allegiance (citizenship) in the foreign nation they immigrated from. Exclusive allegiance to the United States either at birth or naturalization. This is called ‘subject to the jurisdiction’, not just local jurisdiction, but political jurisdiction. Only those with exclusive political allegiance to the United States are citizens, others may be natives and others may be legal alien residents, however, ONLY the citizens are required to have complete & exclusive allegiance to the government of the United States.

Mine came from here, the original web site

Then click see for yourself on the site.
Almost all of these donors are Washington DC lobbyists. All of them directly funding Ted Cruz, not a Super-PAC, but his direct campaign. – SEE FOR YOURSELF – The entire statement:

Why? Character, that is why! Sundance was going after Levin’s character & I fully support Levin doing whatever he feels he needs to protect his character.

Without character what is a man but an empty suit. There are many things I do not agree with Levin, however, the right to protect his character at all costs is not one of them.

Honestly, what did Sundance do to attack his character? If you mean telling him he needs to be honest about who his family members work for, I think that is fair. But it is certainly not attacking ones character, unless, Levin wouldn’t release that information. And then yes, his character should be called into question. As well as any others like George Will. Or all the Dems working in WH while relatives work for MSM. This is info that should be always made clear.

What part of ‘policy influence’ did you misunderstand? An apprentice paper pusher does not influence policy and to even suggest that there was a pay to play on Levin's part going on here, that is nothing but a smear campaign.

As Levin said, the finace’s son is of age, able to determine his own path in life by choosing of his own free will, whom he wishes to work for, Republican or Democrat. Levin had no part in this matter, therefore, the Levin connection is moot. Sundance, by choosing to being the Levin connection in, stooped to political sewer tactics. Not becoming of a website that is supposedly about ridding us of the sewer rather than feeding it.

“How many of the 11 million current illegals is Trump letting back in expedited fashion to become Democrat voters?”

That is a straw man that Cruz bots latched onto and will not let go. I have seen him explain the ones he wants expedited. He explains the standards, and it precludes most.

Did Trump say he’s ending legal immigration?

He said he would Muslim immigration, and that other than that, I don’t know. But I can extrapolate what he has already said. And he has never embraced it the way your man Cruz has, Rubio has, and the rest of the candidates. That is saying something. As Ann Coulter said in her book, legal immigration is the thing that will destroy the nation.

If an American soldier stationed in Saudi Arabia gives birth, that baby is an American and not SA.

Simple really, Americans give birth to Americans. Trump is trying to fool everyone to think differently. Has to cite a leftist like Larry Tribe to agree with him, all conservative scholars agree with Cruz

Trump doesn’t sue because he knows it will make him look like a fool. Better to run around crying Cruz is a Canadian to fool the cultists.

Simple really.
