wow that was the first year I went up there. I spent my summers there til I moved for real in ‘76. The bicentennial celebration was amazing. I left in 1985. Actually did live in Norwalk, CT for about a year or less. Crazy thunderstorms there.
I was still in Chicago for the Bi-Centenial, but did go “home” to NYC that spring.
