Because of food safety, just in case some anti Trump haters decide to spike the food there. I know its micro mamaging thinking on my part, i have worked large events food catering of 50,000 and more, with proper security it should go well.
Free coffee, or hot chocolate, or bottled water. Leave the people with a feeling of contentment both spiritually and physically.
