Apparently you’ve been living in a vacuum. You obviously didn’t hear all the news reports of heavy snow forecast for Iowa that evening and the potential for no flights out for a couple of days. As a matter of fact, the ENTIRE Fox News Team was speculating on-air for several days about whether they’d be able to get our of Iowa before the storm.

CNN “reported” that Dr. Carson was leaving Iowa for Florida “regardless of the vote count” and was not going on to New Hampshire and South Carolina but taking time off until the Prayer Breakfast in Washington on Thursday. THAT was the extent of the facts that CNN reported. They also said he was going to make a statement around 9:15 (10:15 Eastern) because “he wanted to beat the storm” Tapper and the co-anchor SPECULATED as to why Carson wasn’t going on to New Hampshire or South Carolina, saying it was “unusual”.

I find it interesting that a non-story somehow was interpreted by Cruz campaign officials as “Carson may be dropping out”. There was nothing in the story that said anything about dropping out, suspending, or anything else that wold give you the impression that Carson was doing nothing more than going home to Florida until Thursday.

The truth is, some Cruz supporters saw an opening to pick off some Carson supporters. Since the report was broadcast less than 15 minutes before the caucuses started, I would guess they figured they could try and pull a fast one. The problem is, they got caught.

For those here who say Carson is out of money, his filing for the last quarter indicated he had raised the most money of all the candidates and had approx 6 million dollars on hand. I would bet Fiorina, Kasich, Christie, and Paul don’t have much more.

Cruz’s ‘apology” rings hollow a day after the damage was done. Would Cruz have beaten Trump without some “help?” Maybe. But we really won’t know since we really don’t know if he actually got Carson supporters to switch. What it does do is show a candidate who may be no better than the Washington insiders he claims not to be.

Regardless, when Cruz first announced, I was supportive. The more I listen to him and hear about his politics...now, not so much. I find myself in a position of not having a candidate I think I can support. I will be curious to see how he handles this internally. He KNOWS who sent out the tweets and he can damn well find out who from his national organization spread this lie. If they are still in place through New Hampshire and South Carolina, it will speak volumes about the guy at the top.

Senator Cruz, the ball is in your court.

You’re off duty all right, waaaay off.

You missed CNN’s first statement, conveniently.

How much per scam does Concern Trolling pay?

The best and most honest assessment I’ve yet seen on this thread.
