Is the problem that we’ve chosen too many career politicians, or that we’ve chosen too many people who are too willing to sell out conservatism?
How did choosing a non-politician work for the Republicans in Massachusetts? Remember Romney? How did Schwartzenegger work out for California? How did Ventura work out for Minnesota?
Ventura was not a Republican. He ran as an Independance Party candidate. He won, the Republican came in second, and the Dem third. Voting that day was interesting. The parking lot at the church where we vote was full of motorcycles. We had an unusually long wait as about half the voters in line did not know how to use the ballot and needed assistance. That’s when I knew Jesse had done it.
