I have a feeling the whole Iowa deal has been calculated by Trump or his highly paid research team. He is going to get nominated his way or no way. I think he understands the media more than anyone gives him credit for. He wants other candidates in close proximity so to spread the attention around instead of just zeroing in on him. As you can see Cruz and Rubio are being torn a new one by the press as Trump supposedly sits in the corner licking his hurt paw.

I agree with Rush that skipping the debate had nothing to do with Trump coming in second.

Uh - no. Trump does not want to lose anything anytime. Also all my media stations are singing praises for Rubio and ignoring both Trump and Cruz.

You can have Rubio Derangement all you want, but Rubio is far more conservative than most running - with the big screw up he made on Gang of Eight.

Since you are a Cruz supporter, what is he replacing Obamacare with? How is he going to cover the uninsurable who have coverage now?

I'm wide awake and it's not the President's job to cover anybody. It America decides that it is, then liberty is dead and I wouldn't wish the Presidency on my enemy.

I think Trump did very well in Iowa given all the factors.

Agree and in addition if you look deeply into the stats you will find that we have almost as many uninsured again as we did when Obama etal were screaming how many poor people had no health insurance.
So after billions of dollars and all this mess we still have the same number uninsured.

Obviously, he misspoke. I’m sure if George Stephanopolos had been there, he would have corrected him.

Cruz’s plan includes the ability to buy insurance across state lines; medical savings accounts and some other things I can’t remember.

We were better off medically before Obamacare.

Typical bully, sits in his Ivory Tower and pretends to superior to all of us commoners. Where is your answer. What free market solution will cover people with cancer and incurable diseases?

I understand the Free Market far better than you ever will and unless we answer this question we are heading straight for Nationalize HC. Cruz will never answer it. After all it is how he won Iowa.

Do you have cancer pools where people pay $30K per year for $40K of coverage? What is your answer?

This is the difference between talkers and doers or Marxists and Capitalists.

Of course, that was three days ago, so he may have flip-flopped already.

Cruz won’t be able to cut any deals. He will be lame duck if he wins,

I’m sick and tired of so-called conservative Republicans “cutting deals” with Dems.

Trump will cut those deals and insist that it’s a win and demand that we shut up and deal with it.

Trump has absolutely no Constitutional foundations or basic Christian foundations for being an honest and principled conservative.

Trump is a deal maker.

Why in the world would you want to elect someone for their ability to “make deals” with the Washington establishment?

Trump is an Establishment guy.

This election is between the people and the Washington political establishment.

There is only one candidate that is anti-establishment and that is Ted Cruz.

Problem is there is no way to have those high risk pools now.

Why not? The only thing preventing them is Obamacare.

Nobody is saying everyone has a right to insurance, but there are those who need it and want it.

And??? Just because you need and want something doesn't mean someone else is required to give it to you, especially if that would be at a cost to them. I think if the market is allowed to work, there can be options to protect most people from major medical expenses at a reasonable cost. But this idea that we should be able to have insurance to pay for every medical need from a cold to major surgery, and that the cost of the insurance should not reflect the actual risk the customer represents is ridiculous.

If you had cancer why should an insurance company cover you? They shouldn't so then what?

If I decided not to get insurance and then got cancer, an insurance company should not be forced to pay my bills. Insurance is basically a bet - I am betting that at some point I will have medical needs that will cost enough to justify the cost of the insurance - the insurance company is betting that overall, the cost of paying for the medical care of their customers will be less than they receive in premiums. But if I have not been paying premiums, how is is right to tell the insurance company they MUST pay my bills?

Now, if you are saying that insurance companies should not be able to cancel your policy once you get sick (except for non-payment), then I would strongly agree.

Exactly and why they should have never broke the system, but now we are where we are. There is no such thing as a free market HC insurance system and never has been.

Once we get rid of it, how do the uninsured get insured w/o govt subsidies or mandates? Those small ideas will help, but they do not answer the question. In 12 mos everyone loses their insurance and then what?
