Morning Joe (Scarborough) is reporting that someone in Cruz’s campaign spread a rumor among caucus voters that Carson was suspending his campaign. How many voters who would have went to Carson went to Cruz - all based on a lie?
I remember that the Romney people put out a similar rumor about Fred Thompson when he was running to sabotage him.
Steve King (Iowa) sent out a tweet to the effect “Looks like Carson is out” In fact I believe those were his exact words. Then he encouraged Cruz camp to use that to convince Carson voters to vote Cruz.
Except, Carson wasn’t out and Carson was ticked about it last night when it happened.
Wonder why Steve King did that?
