Did you think it would be easy to beat the Establishment?

Not at all. In fact, I think beating the establishment would be one of those rare, historical events that is so unlikely it just "shouldn't happen" (much like our own revolution). But if Trump had won tonight, the establishment would have been seriously damaged. Trump would have been almost impossible to dislodge, and their only hope would have been Hillary. But, as it stands now, their chances are much improved. Not only is Rubio back in the hunt, but Hillary's chances are also improved, given that Cruz is also giving himself an outside chance to win the nomination.

Bottom line: Iowa could have knocked the establishment out, tonight. Instead, Iowa gave them a much needed reprieve.

Nonsense. Cruz destroys Hillary in most polls while Trump loses to her in most polls. Hillary will be quaking in her boots now that Cruz is on the rise and Trump might not be the nominee.

Trump is the one who was a gift to the establishment. If he had not gotten in the race, Cruz would have rocketed into the lead in the primary early and sailed easily to victory if not for Trump taking up all the oxygen in the media. Trump staying in after this loss does nothing but help Rubio by holding Cruz down and giving Rubio a path between them.
