Most of the 500 wealthy conservatives gathered at a Southern California retreat this week know they want to see a Republican back in the White House, but many don't know what to do with the billionaire who wants to "make America great again."
Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump was not at the biannual Charles and David Koch-organized conference over the weekend, but he was a constant presence on the minds of many here at the seminar hosted by the billionaire executives known for their active role in Republican politics.

Do you elites are still targeting truc do you elites are still targeting Trump So what’s new?
Had they done that two weeks ago, MAYBE it might have done something, but they are WAY too late. This nomination is over tomorrow.
Trump 2016.
I hate this crap. The main thing is that everyone coalesce around the nominee when the time comes.
Yep, the Americans for Prosperity organization has insinuated itself into the GOP and the Tea Party. Lots of money to push their agenda. They want to keep the free flow of exploitable labor going to keep wages low and profits high. The American worker be damned.
Taking down Trump is a stupid strategy, but the insiders keep trying it. If they want someone else to win, the correct strategy is to fund, support, and encourage a different candidate but not target “the outsider” when a major part of his appeal is being the outsider.
Boy ol’ boy, these wealthy donors are trying desperately to hang on to their perks and influence. Money won’t buy you Trump!!!!
They should just give their large amounts of money to Jebra.
It will have the same effect.
Do you elites are still targeting truc do you elites are still targeting Trump So whatâs new?....Are you drunk this early? Can’t even THINK what the hell you are blathering about.
>> Taking down Trump is a stupid strategy
With all due respect, ruthlessly taking down his competitors by whatever means is necessary has been a part of Trump’s strategy since day 1.
It’s not necessarily a stupid strategy; it can be effective.
This is hit piece is written by a liberal elite.
An elite who probably hates Trump and Charles and David Koch equally... let’s ‘consider the source’ ...
Nothing wrong with this, political expression. As long as the GOP itself stays out of it.
The Koch Brothers apparently learned nothing from losing the Right to Work fight in their own back yard.
The difference is that when the establishment tries to take out Trump, it reinforces his message. Negative will not work against Trump, and that has been proven repeatedly. They would be better off treating him like an obscure footnote and talking about why their candidate is the best.
They have been funding all types of activities to take Trump out, from owning FAUX, ABCCNNBCBS and trolls on the internet to weaken Trump support with their constant anti Trump BS!
The five candidates that the Koch’s & co-horts do prefer include:
Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida,
former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush,
Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky,
Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas
former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina
This is all about “black hand” control of your life. We don’t want it any more. It has ruined this great nation by dissolving our borders, taking our jobs, ruining our industry and manufacturing, killing and wounding our soldiers in unnecessary foreign entanglements and running up a $20 trillion debt. The Kochs can go to hell.
