The "most" is in reference to the $2.6 million that wasn't out of Trump's self loan.

.. It raised $2.6 million beyond Trump's loan. Most came from small dollar donations.

FEC filing

a) Individuals/Persons Other than Political Committees

(i) itemized 544530.87

(ii) unitemized 2102217.81

(iii) Total contributions 2646748.68

Sooo, in other words, 2.6 million, exactly what I said, with "most" coming from small dollar donations as opposed to bigger donations of 500, 1000, whatever. The 10 million came from Trump's wallet.

Do you have a point?

You’re trying to hard...

It’s plain that Trump gave his campaign $10.8 million - it’s in the article and in the headline.

I wonder who donated to Trump under:

“a) Individuals/Persons Other than Political Committees”

that wasn’t from a small donor.

In a general election, do you see him self-financing?

Trump said he would self-fund the nomination, and he has, except for "solidarity" donations from small donors and his very popular gear being for sale. (I'm in for one tee-shirt and $20 for the Veterans fund). He never even asked for them, and seemed embarrassed that people did that.

Trump's not a stupid businessman. Because of federal matching funds, wouldn't it be a foolish financial move to not accept campaign donations?

One of Trump's strongest campaign arguments is that. Many of the others are wasting incredible amounts of donor cash, while he has managed his campaign financing very wisely.

I have no idea your point in posting this. I’m sure it’s not as a public service announcement on Trump’s legal funding activities. It says what we’ve all know. Trump is self funding and he’s taking small dollar donations from his website. I don’t understand your need to constantly try and “remind” everyone that you don’t like Trump, but this is a real nothing if you are trying to point out some nefarious activities on Trump’s part.

What clearly has happened is that Cincinatus’ Wife doesn’t understand what she’s reading, and if she doesn’t understand something she assumes it must be bad, kind of like how a caveman fears and shuns modern man’s technology. She also hates Trump very badly, so, having been made very angry due to her confusion, she decides it will probably upset us too, and then posted it.

The real estate mogul's filing comes less than 24 hours before the Iowa caucuses, where Trump holds a slight lead in polls over Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.

Where did that come from? Slight lead?

New Hampshire — Trump with 51% of the vote
South Carolina — Trump with 50% of the vote
Nevada — Trump with 46% of the vote

FEC regulations are a poor fit for someone paying their own way.

That’s why Trump has to loan himself $$$ and even has to charge himself $$$ to ride on his own plane.
*********************************************************************
Ahh....and LATER HIS campaign can repay those loans with donations made by OTHERS. Bottom line is that most of the funds he “loans” the campaign will be repaid to HIM and his self-funding will be largely a myth. I know that Trump supporters almost certainly will not believe that NOW but, later on down the road, will see that it is true.

You’re kidding yourself if you think the man has the $750 mil or so needed to run in the general.

He’ll be on his knees BEGGING for donors and “making deals” like you cannot imagine if he tricks enough of you folks into voting for him.

I’ll bet he even takes a donation or two from Planned Parenthood before its all said and done if he wins the nomination.

So you support foreigners taking tech jobs over Americans in America. Got it.

Of course Cruz raised almost twice that for that period and they were mostly small grassroots donations.

Excellent. And with Microsoft helping with the vote counting I have a feeling the final results will be very close to those numbers. ;)

What a terrible attitude.

Seriously, would you have voted for Kennedy to “win”?

How about Carter?

Or maybe Roosevelt?

Clinton maybe?

Hitler? Mussolini? Stalin?

You’ll notice none of these would be acceptable candidates, but they were “winners”

Heck, some even built themselves some walls on their borders...

“Damn our principles and values, as long as we win!!!”
