Cruz can say what he wants.
This mailer insulted Iowa voters.

Does Cruz really think you have to shame and insult voters to get
to the polls?

He does not seem to have a high regard for Iowa voters.
And it showed in this mailer.

As opposed to not showing a high regard for Iowa voters, but ducking their debates?

Elections are---or at least used to be---something that states went out of their way to avoid even the appearance of impropriety. Electioneering, dirty tricks, intimidation---elections have especially strong rules because the people must have confidence in the fairness of elections or it undermines our entire way of life.

Apparently Cruz has no appreciation for this very special place that elections hold---they must always be above reproach. Lately, Dems have pushed this to the limit and beyond (and expect more of the same, but more aggressive this fall.) But now the Uniparty is using the same tactic of shady electioneering that intimidates people, misrepresents candidates.

Cruz let Beck get away with violating election law by representing a document (a tweet) as originating from a candidate from whom it did not originate. States did not pursue it, and more importantly, Cruz did not say one word about it, tacitly condoning and encouraging more of it. So it was totally expected that if they got away with one dirty trick--one with the enormous visibility of a celebrity perpetrator, Glenn Beck--they could push the envelope further with impunity.

It all falls right on one person, Ted Cruz. There needs to be an immediate investigation to determine if he personally knew or approved of the Beck dirty trick and now the mailer. What did he know and when did he know it?

Furthermore, an investigation needs to begin on who FUNDED these dirty tricks. Campaign funding is a very controversial subject to begin with. It too is subject to a variety of stringent laws and rules. And if a donor funded it, where did their funds come from and is they don't know, were they laundered, as was the million dollar "loans" to Cruz are the typical way lenders bribe candidates under-the-table: make a loan that is either never paid off, or paid off by a 3rd party. Then there's the suggestion of impropriety in that the last million dollar "loan" gifted to Cruz is from his wife's EMPLOYER.

If Republicans let their own get away with illegal electioneering, what moral standing will they have when they speak out against the inevitable Dem election law violations this fall and in the future?
