Watching this whole process, I’ve come to the exact same conclusion, including all of those debates. Increasing pressure on the weaker candidates exposes their weaknesses, particularly their management skills and their judgement, while leaving the stronger candidates standing. And all of that’s a good thing, assuming we want tough and capable leaders, and not just ideologues like Obama.

I’m a bonr and raised New Yorker, and I had no problem with “New York valuse>” I knew exactly what Ted meant.

And Trump’s use of 9/11 in such a baldly political way was offensive as can be.

Agree with you on IA. Otoh, Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, is a bit of a cipher. He’s only 40, and as far as I can tell has never managed a winning campaign. He seems to be doing very well, though. Amazing that Trump saw something there above and beyond Lewandowski’s on-paper track record of wins and losses.

IIRC, Cruz was at or below 10% (Real Clear Politics average) until mid-November. I think only when Carson stumbled did Cruz gain.
