You’re underplaying Salem’s efforts to recruit Mark.

“Salem SVP of Spoken Word Format Phil Boyce said, “Rarely do you have the chance to add somebody of Mark’s quality in market #2, and we decided it was an opportunity we could not pass up. Hugh Hewitt is also a class act so running these two back to back makes this lineup even stronger.”

KRLA Dir. of Programming Chuck Tyler said, “Getting Mark Levin has been on my bucket list for years. What a team!”

For now he’s Cumulus/Westwood One product. Is he being wooed by Salem? Certainly possible. I’m not sure what Cumulus owned KABC is running in afternoons. And it’s possible one is paying the other for the clearance.

My bigger point was the balance of the post. Trump was fun for these guys while he was killing 3stablishment candidates chances. Trump is now messing with their preferred choice. Trump didn’t play to the script and have a bottle rocket trajectory. With Cruz possibly hurt, tomorrow will tell, we don’t know if the wound is a set back or mortal. But Trump was supposed to be a footnote by now. Even he admitted to Stephany this morning he was surprised by his status at this point.

So what happens if Cruz is mortally wounded after tomorrow? I’m not sure. My guess is by the end of SC, if hurt tomorrow he will bleed out by then. Will his supporters go to Trump? Depends on how brutal the punches get. At the end of the day, I don’t think most will.
