Lutheran church in Minnesota
I was in French Quarter when they had their diversity hoopla convention at the Dome about 4-5 years ago
Never seen so many shiney faced naive liberals
Culturally suicidal
I’m sure you have sects like MoSynod that are not so leftish
It must be bad
Our 5000 are problem starters
Either much is covered up or it’s too cold for crime here because you don’t hear much outside of crimes against members of their own community. There are some, but not an alarming amount.
So far.
Yes-shiny faced naive liberals sums it up. There was recently a recall effort against the one conservative city council member who is trying to keep the city from turning into a cesspool. The recall effort was led by a retired female police detective. Very interesting. The paper wasn’t exactly balanced and the letters to the editor were vicious - name calling and serious (but unfounded) accusations tossed about. Ended when the city attorney stated that the group didn’t have legal grounds for the recall. But now he is branded as a corrupt racist who abused his position for financial gain with his company.
The city is embracing the “diversity is our strength” meme. A school board member was quoted saying exactly that (funny part is it was during a discussion about how to lower the number of students who open enroll to other school districts...presumably to get away from so much diversity).
There is a visionary coalition that put up huge chalkboards in town with a sentence at the top that started something like “my vision for my community is...” And people could write in their hopes and visions. Heavy sigh. So much insipid mush was written on them-all about ending prejudice against Somalis/Hispanics. I was tempted to write something about integration and assimilation but it wasn’t worth it. For all I know they have cameras and I would have been charged with hate speech.
