Someone posted a nice letter Trump campaign sent to Iowa voters with caucus instructions and a voter registration paper. Very respectful and professional imo.
Typical lawyer attitude.
Ted isn’t just a politician, he is a career politician. Has wanted to be one since at least High School.
So the narrative has shifted throughout the day.
First, it had to be a dirty trick by another campaign to make Cruz look bad.
Once it turned out that it *was* done by Cruz’s campaign, it changed to: This had to be done by a low-level staffer and Cruz had NO idea that this was going on.
In my mind:
1. If Cruz knew, it makes one question his judgement.
2. If Cruz didn’t know, it makes one question his leadership.
Turns out that Cruz DID know and he sees nothing wrong with what he did...
Got it.
yikes— photos of their houses-— that is bad-— that would creep me out more than ted’s-— but I am against this for one reason-— it scares dumb people who are unable to discern a real gov’t violation from an advertisement into voting— we need less dumb voters voting in the primary not more...
“Ted Cruz makes speeches against big government, but when the going gets tough, guess which database he accesses to get your personal infornation to further his own ambitions?”
“I’m Hillary Clinton and I approved this message”
yup and they have been democrats
Some things are just creepy.
That flies in the face of many Cruzers — he DID know about the mailings, apparently.
“Remember when Glen Beck warned us about the tactics of the Commies? I do. I remember him saying âNudge, Push, Shoveâ.”
Yes, but in stooping to this level, he’s come down to the level at which the RATs routinely operate. It’s winning at all costs, and while it may be “effective,” it’s just another example of the disgraceful depths to which politics overall have sunk.
What a maroon.
Curious how Levin will defend this.
This is an update with the Cruz quotes from the Des Moines Register.
Cruz, who has often joked that mailers “make good kindling,” later told reporters that he would not apologize for his campaign’s efforts to bring out caucusgoers.
“I will apologize to nobody for using every tool we can to encourage Iowa voters to come out and vote ⦠Iowa, as first in the nation, has an incredibly important role in deciding who the next commander-in-chief of this country will be. We are going to continue to use every tool we can to encourage the men and woman of Iowa to come out, to caucus on Monday night and to stand together as one,” Cruz said in Sioux City.
Really funny how all the people outraged over this are the same people who ranted that not voting was the same as voting for Obama.
Don’t feel bad. I did too.
I support Trump, but I had a lot of respect for Ted. I had high-hopes that he’d do well in the debate when he finally got the spotlight.
Now this.
My heart is sinking. I’ve said repeatedly that I’ll crawl over broken glass to vote against Hillary, but if it’s Cruz or Bush... I’m going to need to superglue my nostrils shut to get through it.
Looks like Cruz is going to brazen it out. He might as well. Apologising probably won’t do much good.
Wow!
When you step in it, that means you made a mistake, but when you refused to admit you stepped in it when everyone else is holding their nose - that means you’re not in touch with reality.
Cruz channeling the nut Glen Beck. Good grief, man, dump that psycho from your campaign. Now. He’s sinking your campaign. This is so friggin’ disgusting.
Nothing will do any good. I see a dead man walking. Of course, I never believed Cruz would win Iowa anyway.
