It seems quite obvious to me that Trump meant that he will not be ending legal immigration. But no, I do not believe that he has said that he plans to increase legal immigration or that he plans to give preferential treatment to the criminals currently residing illegally in the country. You might want to check with groups acting as advocates for the illegal invaders... these are the ones who are probably able to gauge this the best. Can you name one which favors Trump? Ha, ha, ha... I sincerely doubt it. My guess would be that in every case Trump would be chosen as their least popular candidate.

But fireman15, what would be the difference between letting “the good ones” back in and giving preferential treatment to some illegals currently residing here?

I’m not trying to pick a fight with you, I’m trying to make sure I give Trump’s immigration position a fair hearing. He has hacked me off thoroughly but that makes it more important to be fair minded about what he is actually proposing.

I guess if it were up to me we’d deport the illegals and then tell them the “path to citizenship” forms to the rear.
