Does Germ. have an impeachment process. If so, they should begin it immediately.
This is my understanding and I’d welcome correction if I’m wrong on any point. She could be thrown out tomorrow if her party, the CDU, decides to appoint a new leader. Or if their Bavarian coalition partners defect / she loses a vote of confidence in the Bundestag on the subject it could prompt new elections. The problem with holding new elections is the Socialists and Green Party could win and they’re ten times worse than her. So getting rid of a Chancellor is hugely easier than impeaching a president. In fact, no US president has been successfully removed from office through the method prescribed by the Constitution. The only proven method doesn’t need to be mentioned.
