I think this is more reflective of Cruzâs Cuban side than his Canadian side.

Well we do have the
AC Candidate and/or
ACC Candidate
It is said that Cubans who do not vote are sacked from their jobs or denied the rationed goods available to all Cuban households at subsidised prices. These are simply lies. It is true, however, that Cubans may be encouraged by their family, friends, neighbours and workmates to vote. Voting is considered a civic duty by the supporters of the Revolution.
Notice it is perfect fly ok to shame people in public with false allegations. I’m thinking trump here.
It is not ok to send private letters to people saying you are not voting and you should.
The trump bots feign outrage while their dear leader puts forth unrelenting venom against true conservatives.
Not fooled.
Play on but I’m not played by this.
Shaming them to vote is a bad thing.
Please.
FYI there is already a thread with 800+ posts about this.
To say this has backfired is an understatement.
And to the previous poster who said urging people to vote isn’t a bad thing. This is shaming, not urging.
Cruz’s people admitted it?
It’s been verified as being 100% from the Cruz campaign.
I encourage people to visit the much longer thread on thi with more info and perhaps close this one
If this is your version of true conservatism, then your ‘cause’ is indiscernible from the left.
I’m not part of your version of conservatism, thank you.
I believe in freedom to vote as I see fit, without being told I am wrong for my beliefs.
Evidently your side does not believe that, and it shows from you and your group’s attitude.
Yes. It’s from the Cruz camp.
One of the people shamed in the picture being widely circulated has responded and it’s going viral on social media.
Is it an invasion of privacy to use information about a person that's in public record for advertising purposes, without their approval? If it isn't, it should be.
This isn’t ‘Shaming’, its threatening, people, especially the elderly would be scared of a ‘Violation’.
Teddy, I thought you were smarter than this. Heidi didn’t see the fault in this either, or is this her idea to begin with? Don’t you know when the average American adult gets a card like this, the impulse is to rebel and bring all donating to a screeching halt? Sure, some weak souls will act under such pompous pressure, but most won’t. Not even most churches are this obvious and presumptuous. Maybe this worked in Cuba back when your dad was growing up. Perhaps that is where you first heard of this technique.
Yep, search is a function that isn’t that good on FR. I’ve found it best to search on
one or two unique words rather than an entire title.
example: Cruz will bring up the other two threads but you still have to look at all
the others there also.
Take care.
If it was a private letter in an envelope to the individual that would be one thing but to publicly assign failing grades to the person and their neighbors is quite another. I don’t even think a card with the neighbors names should have been posted online without their permission.
Funny how all the people outraged over this are the same people who ranted that not voting was the same as voting for Obama.
I searched before I posted, nothing came up.
I should have looked in “Breaking”, sorry.
How can a real Constitutional Conservative have no regard for privacy?
Well intention ed, good men can choose some BAD advisors..Look at G. Bush.
No worries just trying to help. The longer thread might also give some better indication for those this is new information to this morning as to just how much this is exploding online right now.
