Decorated soldier being kicked out of Army after shoving Afghan police commander accused of raping boy Army axing Green Beret who stood up for Afghan rape victim EXCLUSIVE: Even as the U.S. military denies reports that American troops were told to ignore Afghan child abusers, an 11-year Green Beret who was ordered discharged after he confronted an alleged rapist was informed Tuesday that the Army has denied his appeal. Sgt. 1st Class Charles Martland earlier this year was ordered discharged by Nov. 1. He has been fighting to stay in, but in an initial decision, the U.S. Army Human Resources Command told Martland that his appeal âdoes not meet the criteriaâ for an appeal. âConsequently, your request for an appeal and continued service is disapproved,â the office wrote in a memo to Martland. The memo was shared with FoxNews.com by the office of Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., who has advocated for Martlandâs case. According to Hunter's office, Martland learned of the decision Tuesday. The memo, dated Sept. 14, comes as the Defense Department comes under criticism amid reports that U.S. soldiers were instructed to look the other way when Afghan troops and officers were sexually abusing boys. More On This... US military accused of ignoring sex abuse in Afghanistan Gen. John F. Campbell, commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, said in a statement Tuesday that he is âabsolutely confident that no such theater policy has ever existed here, and certainly, no such policy has existed throughout my tenure as commander.â He said he expects âany suspicions of sexual abuse will be immediately reported to the chain of command,â and he has personally spoken with President Ashraf Ghani on the issue.

Just the indictments would be great.
I don't think this guy will be interested in a military career by the time Trump is POTUS. It's a real shame that he is the one being punished here.
More than a shame, it is obscene.
“Seriously? You actually think Twitter’s going to help? Wow.”
Trump pays attention to and participates on Twitter. Twitter isn’t the only thing I would use as a method to contact him, but I do suggest it be used.
If Trump is made aware of this hero’s plight, then maybe he would help.
You’re not opposed to using something that might help this soldier, are you?
Doesn’t the Uniform Code of Military Justice say that a soldier can refuse and illegal order?
bump
“does not meet the criteria for an appeal””
Well, that phrase is certainly full of information, isn’t it? Hey - pencil pusher - how about outlining just what is the foundation for an appeal? You don’t know? That figures!
