If I got something like that, I’d think it was a dirty trick from an opponent. No candidate would be stupid enough to do something like that otherwise.

Rather than knee-jerk this - am I growing up? - I went back to sleep ruminating on it.

So, a guy at an Iowa college, part of Team Cruz, puts this idea together to get the attention of Iowans who get 10 campaign mailers per day, plus polling calls, which largely get thrown in the trash and hung up on. This mailer, he says, will not be thrown away, in fact the recipients will immediately call their neighbors listed on the violation form to confirm THEY got one, too.

Sounds like a marketing breakthrough, no?

But on the same day 7 people depart the campaign under questionable circumstances. I’m looking for more info on that, if anybody knows anything.

So this Iowa professor or whatever he is, is he still with the campaign? If so, then this is stupider than the Beck idea. If not, then Cruz likely didn’t hear about the mailer until people started opening theirs and likely blew a gasket. Remember, Cruz’ church and 4 others in Houston were targeted by lezbo mayor Anissa Parker to hand over their sermons, which Cruz remedied immediately.

IMO, Cruz wouldn’t approve this, Texans are outraged by this kind of stuff. Iowans probably aren’t, subject as they are to Caucus attention overkill every 4 years.

Was camp Cruz sabotaged? Need more data - from that Dailey affair - to decide. OTOH, depending how ‘narrow’ this mailing was, it could be the talk of IA until Monday.
