Wolf started out as one of the normal people that posted articles and commented, but rapidly became one of the moderators/enforcers. If memory serves me, this was back 2006-2008 perhaps.
RedState peaked around 2009 or so, and then has gone downhill since. Erickson had a big “night of the long knives” purge around that time, getting rid of a group of posters that had different opinions from the company line of RedState. It has never been the same. And with periodic “reworking” of the interface/software that always made it more difficult to post and follow things, it got unreadable. The move to a custom Disqus posting system that didn’t import previous posts and articles was the last straw for me. I go there occasionally just to see what some of the old members have to say, but they are rapidly becoming a scarce commodity there.
If you don’t toe the company line, they purge you. Period. The place is a mess and has been for years now.
