Not surprising and this isn’t sour grapes when I say this, today is all about wing and getting “my guy” in because winning is everything. This is even at the expense of compromising one’s principles. The Republican Party is in shambles and no different than the American Idol worshippers quickly clicking their guy to respond to a poll.
We have finally reached the point where now we blindly support someone fully buying into their words vs their actions and history. We are now no different than the liberals in 2008 that brought us Obama. I didn’t go to that church, I wasn’t friends with weather underground, hope and change (make America great again). Trump could come out tomorrow and change a position he’s held long dear throughout the campaign and 90% will try to explain it away and put it into “what he really meant”
At this point it doesn’t matter. I’ll entertainingly watch from the sidelines and hope I don’t have to come back here and say I told you so.
