Civilians shouldn’t be writing anti-defense garbage containing assumptions about military matters to Wikipedia or any other publication. Area bombing can be used effectively and without collateral damage in some circumstances against enemy military posts, bases and convoys.

Hmmmm ..?? During the lead in to the Iraq war, our huge bombers were “carpet bombing” air strips, main roads, bridges, etc.

And .. “carpetbombing” is a series of very small bombs all loaded together .. dropped partially together .. and it plows a path of destruction that you could not do with a series of single bombs.

We used to watch them use that type of bombing in Iraq.
