Australia's prime minister gave a personal assurance on Friday that his government would legalize gay marriage if a majority of Australians choose marriage equality in a popular vote.

The center-right government has promised to hold a plebiscite on the gay marriage question if the government is re-elected in a vote due this year.

But a number of the government's most conservative lawmakers have recently announced that they might vote down gay marriage against the wishes of a majority of Australians. ...

Interesting to see the AP is now on the side of majority rule when it comes to same-sex marriage. Can’t recall their taking that same stance when one US state after another voted overwhelmingly to ban it.

Actually, he is the one who promised the plebiscite in the first place. Turnbull is basically keeping the same policy.

It seems that the majority of Australians do support gay marriage. Calling for a plebiscite in its next term on the issue was a way of delaying it without turning it into a major anti-government issue at the next election.

There will be a blitzkrieg campaign now by the sodomites, viciously demonizing anyone, any business, any organization with blatant lies and financial censure if they won’t bow down to worship at the feet of this Baal, just as in Ireland, where POLICE were improperly employed in the campaign.

Regardless, the results will not be honored by the sodomites if they lose. They never are.
