I don’t think we can discount that he was wearing a gun in a holster. BUT did he make a motion toward it when he got out of the vehicle? Earlier pictures taken of him show that he was clearly carrying a weapon so it must have been SOP for him. I wish none of them had left armed that night. Might have been a different outcome. I haven’t read that the ones arrested that night had any weapons on them...so it would be strange if he was the only one who had a weapon.
