I may be wrong, but I seem to recall reading or hearing some legal pundits comment that it may behoove Cruz to “legally” set the matter straight. I think it’s great that the issue now, because if Cruz wins the nomination, he’s going to be hit even harder by the Dems and the media.

It’s not possible to “set the matter straight” in any way that would preclude the dem’s trying to sue. Even if they did sue, they would lose, and the case would take years.

Fact is Cruz held dual citizenship.
The moment he renounced his Canadian citizenship he became eligible.
