Real-estate mogul Donald Trump called the coming Fox News-hosted Republican debate a "total disaster" and shared a Twitter user's post that called Fox News host Megyn Kelly a "bimbo" during a raging series of tweets hours before he was set to boycott the Thursday-night debate.
"The 'debate' tonight will be a total disaster â low ratings with advertisers and advertising rates dropping like a rock. I hate to see this," the Republican presidential front-runner wrote.
The real-estate tycoon had told Fox host Bill O'Reilly on Wednesday night that he hoped Fox did "well," even though he said the network would "make much less" money without him on stage.
Trump also continued his assault on Kelly, with whom he has feuded for months.
One tweet, which Trump promoted on his account Thursday morning, attacked Kelly for a GQ Magazine photo shoot and labeled her a "bimbo."
"And this is the bimbo that's asking presidential questions?" the tweet said. The user attached two photos from the shoot with text that read, "Criticizes Trump for objectifying women ... Poses like this in GQ Magazine."
The candidate shared the post a day after he had said he wouldn't refer to Kelly as a "bimbo," a term used to insult women, because doing so would "not be politically correct."
Trump drew some backlash last year when he twice promoted tweets calling Kelly a "bimbo." One of the times Trump retweeted the insult was after Kelly, a moderator at an August debate, confronted him about past comments he had made about women's looks.

“She started it ... boo hoo.. she was mean ... she took my ball.”
More like “stop humping my leg”.
A media personality is not equivocal with a presidential candidate.
She is absolutely classless trash.
Neither is very important to me.
“democrats never get this much attention.”
I didn’t say that. I said he’s ACTING like a Democrat. Personal attacks from the left.
“and Trump would not let him finish, because he thought it was inappropriate that Bill used the word buffoon.”
This guy has paper thin skin.
“If a leader can’t stand up to these jerks at Fox News, then how can we expect them to fight for anything else?”
Trump didn’t go because he didn’t like the way Megyn Kelly treated him last time. That’s not leadership. That just shows how thin Trump’s skin is.
Follow the money.
Trump likely cost FNC more money than Megyn Kelly’s annual salary. That’s a lot more than any kind of spoken insult.
I know you didn’t say it, that’s why I did ;)
You people refuse to get it.
If she is everything that Trump says she is, it doesn’t matter.
He should be a mature man running for President and not a little boy whose feelings were hurt by a TV personality.
You are so right!! TRUMP is so immature and it frightens me how this would play out in a TRUMP administration.
..and decent man , would shake his head , shut up and walk away. To engage and encite more tension, shows he stoops down to a low level.. over and over again.
No you don’t get it. As Reagan said “the medium IS the message”. You cannot allow your opponents to control it and use it against you. This is exactly what Fox and Kelly were attempting.
We’re sick and tired of politicians pissing on us as the MSM snickers it’s raining.
He should be a mature man running for President and not a little boy whose feelings were hurt by a TV personality.
Trump is a man’s man..and a stud. He is not some whiny metro euro male who needs constant stroking.
Fox started it with a childish, immature tweet..Trump told them to pound sand..I’m proud of him.
“Trump likely cost FNC more money than Megyn Kellyâs annual salary. Thatâs a lot more than any kind of spoken insult.”
If that’s what you are worried about in a primary, suit yourself. I could care less about that.
Nope, he's all yours. I hated the man. I heard a rumor that Clinton bragged of having several thousand affairs with women over the decades. I suppose it's possible. Kennedy had several affairs going on while in the White House. Affairs shouldn't have anything to do with being President, except for Clinton using the White House as his personal ho house.
I don't get it, having been married without affairs for over 40 years. One woman is enough.
The bad thing about Megyn Kelly is that she is a hypocrite, shoving unfair questions on Trump that are decades old, while she is no puritan. The unfair question (not posed to the other candidates which shows it was an attack to knock him out of the race) was a generalization that he demeans women, in general calling many of them ugly, fat or other slurs. Trump corrected her, saying just Rosie. Because that's the only one he called ugly and fat, in response to her belittling his beauty pageants and his allowing a contestant to remain in the pageant. Megyn used a generalization that was untrue, and refused to back down. A smart moderator would accept it, apologize and move on. But Megyn kept it up long after the debate. However, she was guilty of treating women as sexual objects by her own actions, hence being a hypocrite. And a bimbo. Surely you've seen her ridiculous sexual poses for GQ Magazine, real professional for someone supposedly trying to gain points for her brains. You don't see Greta doing that nonsense.
You're asking the wrong poster. I never complained about or mentioned Michelle Malkin.
And regarding Trump, try to keep up with the news (this reported ad nauseum to you). Per Trump:
I refuse to call Megyn Kelly a bimbo, because that would not be politically correct. Instead I will only call her a lightweight reporter!
He retweeted someone else calling Megyn Kelly a bimbo. Trump never said it. I'm surprised you don't keep up with the news.
Footloose semantics. The man is disgusting, definitely not a gentleman.
And I would think a gentleman like yourself would recognize that.
Let’s leave it. We are getting no place. Fast.
Agreed. I have just one more comment. When posters disagree on FR about politicians, I don't let it get to me. I just wish posters would try not to make it personal against other posters. Not accusing you, just that I've seen other threads get derailed when personal jibes take center stage when emotions get heated. We're wishing that the politicians keep it civil during the election cycle, all the while it gets uncivil here on FR on some threads! The irony of it all. Cheers!
I agree completely and apologize if anything I said was out of line.
Have a great weekend!
