“Rieckhoff stood on stage with President Obama, Clay’s mother, Susan and other national leaders for a signing ceremony at the White House.”
Let’s finish the paragraph before you call him a “Dembot”.
“President Obama signed the Clay Hunt Suicide Prevention for American Veterans (SAV) Act into law at a public signing ceremony inside the White House. Susan and Richard Selke, parents of Clay Hunt, and Paul Rieckhoff, IAVA CEO and Founder, joined the President on-stage.”
He was there because they signed a law that helps veterans.... It’s not like he strolled on up to the White House and had a beer with the guy. He got a law passed to help people who actually have served in the military. He was invited to see something he worked hard for get passed.
To help veterans. Not sure if you caught that part.
On the other hand, that’s a pretty funny gif!
COBOL2Java was responding to a post wherein that entire paragraph was already quoted. Maybe you could have checked that before taking him to task? The paragraph WAS finished.
“...We need strong policies from candidates, not to be used for political stunts...”
Yet, as you posted, had no problem being the poster child during the political signing (stunt).
As better man, at the least, would have silently refuse, behind the scenes, stating they did not wish to get in the middle of the politics. Course, a bigger man would suck up his ego and thank D.T. for the generous donation that would surely benefit many vets.
Still, it does not bode well for WWP. I’ll up my donations to the Salvation Army instead, or go direct.
