Would the fact that Trump had said he was going to fundraise for Wounded Warrior Project on Thursday instead of attending the debate have anything to do with the timing of Fox releasing this story?

Now that you mention it, that looks mighty odd. The few articles I read about this did not have "wounded warriors" capitalized. So I didn't think Trump was referring to that specific group.

No matter how bad that Wounded Warrior supposedly is (I’m not educated about them enough to say if they’re good or bad), they have a long way to go before they get anywhere near the robbery of the federal government.

I know, I know, that’s not saying much...

I find it an amazing coincidence that Fox News runs an negative article on the Wounded Warrior Project the day Trump calls shenanigans on the Fox News debate and says he’ll run an event for the Wounded Warrior Project instead.

Am I reading that correctly? Are you saying that Wounded Warrior staff salaries are approximately equal to the amount of money that went to help veterans?

Because if that’s true, it boggles the mind, to say the least.

WW is a liberal organization that does not accept donations from fire or Christian related organizations.

Yes.

Please do not take my word for it. Go to the link and download the IRS Form 990. (Sorry it’s last year, most recent I could find)

I'm pretty sure (not 100%) that Trump says repeatedly "wounded warriors" - not the specific charity "Wounded Warrior Project."

It's just as likely that Trump was referring to that specific charity when he spoke. Hence the timing of Fox's story casting doubts on them; how better to tweak Trump then by smearing a charity he's supporting?

but one that I remember was the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability

Started in the wake of the Jim and Tammy Faye Baker PTL Scandal when all of the preachers were afraid their donations were about to dry-up.

Hmmmm ..?? I wonder if Trump is getting involved with them so he can find out what they are doing with the money.

Trump so 100% for our military .. he will blow the whole lid off .. if that is what is happening with the Wounded Warrior donations.

This is not the first time I have heard this complaint.

Yes thanks, what I’m going to do, but these stories are all too common. Whenever a lot of money is involved, the slimebags start dipping their fingers in. $26 million for meetings?? If that is true, whoever is involved in it should be removed from this charity IMMEDIATELY. That is blatant disgusting hardcore theft from our hero vets! We got vets with no arms, legs, brain damage, and these punks and spending $26 MILLION on freakin MEETINGS?

Again that part of it may be.

All I am saying is personally I heard something negative how about Wounded Warrior Project years ago and I believe it was along those same lines of most of the money not going to veterans or something along those lines.

My wife and I volunteer and donate to the USO. They are a good organization. I do not know about the national leadership, but we know personally that the regional leadership are mostly volunteers and even the head of the region where we live relies mostly on his military pension to live on.

As much as we would have much preferred Trump to have held an event that benefitted the USO... the reality is that the Wounded Warrior group are extremely media savvy and were probably the only ones who could put something like this together on very short notice.

“”Kules added the charity did not spend $3 million on the Colorado conference, but he was not there and was unable to say what it did cost.””

AND if he’d been there, he would have known????

“”The few articles I read about this did not have “wounded warriors” capitalized. So I didn’t think Trump was referring to that specific group.””

When it’s been reported on TV, it is NOT referred to as that organization. They just say a gathering and fund raising “for wounded warriors.”
