His move puts Cruz at center stage to take all the hits. Cruz stands to lose more votes than Trump.

Agreed. He is brilliant. He is ahead now and it is possible for ANYONE to blow a lead with a bad debate. He took advantage of Fox’s stupid and snarky comment to make a smart move. He looks stronger, helps the vets, answers questions from Iowans, sticks it to Fox and gets a gazillion dollars in free publicity, once again.
I’m starting to think he can handle Putin, Iran, North Korea and Mexico before sitting down to lunch!
