Republicans point fingers: Who let Trump get this far?

With time running out until the first primary votes are cast, establishment Republicans have begun a ferocious round of finger-pointing over who is to blame for the party's failure to stop Donald Trump.

The chiding, once limited to private conversations, is now erupting in public view — with campaigns, operatives, donors, party officials and conservative intellectuals arguing over why something hasn't been done to stop the man who has been leading nearly every state and national poll since August. Trump, many in the GOP's upper ranks are convinced, would lead the Republican Party to an epic defeat in November, with consequences all the way down the ballot.

"This whole thing is a disaster," said Curt Anderson, a former Republican National Committee political director and veteran operative. "I think I'll write a book about it."

Maybe someone should explain to the rhinos that if they just did the things that they promised that they would do during their campaigns, the republican base wouldn't be looking for a fighter.

The Republicans can’t see the forest for the trees when they ask, “WHO LET TRUMP GET THIS FAR?”. The simple and most obvious answer is they, themselves let Trump get that far. Conservatives are sick and tired of the do nothing people elected as our representatives, the same representatives who allow odumbo, his ilk and the rest of the demodummies to do what ever the hell they want without resistance. The so-called republicans need to look in the mirror.

Republicans point fingers: Who let Trump get this far?

The way the liberals and Rinos see it, the most significant problem facing America today is that the people are actually allowed to vote for whomever they choose.

No kidding. At least the bias I get on CNN is real. Although I must admit, and dont get me wrong... I find that Copper, and Blitzer ( two pretty stupid guys) actually treat Trump better than anyone on Faux News.
Go Trump

Next week in Iowa should be very interesting.

I can at least answer this question. There are several factors:

1) They money people sold out to cheap labor (i.e., Illegals). That really started rolling under Bush-43 when they came here by the millions. Now the money people cannot imagine life without them, nor will they fund anyone that is serious about putting an end to it.

2) Given the above, they assumed that they could control who runs for office, and that the base would have no choice but to support that person. It was not an unreasonable assumption, given that the Dems are now so far left-wing (the most under reported story in the history of politics are what the Dems would do to conservatives if they achieve absolute power - it would make Hitler blush). What they failed to learn is that you don’t win the White House by scaring people, at least not Republican candidates - never worked yet.

3) They TOTALLY DISCREDITED the concerns of their voters. They assumed that ‘talk radio’ was the ONLY REASON that they got the phone calls that they did. So when an Amnesty bill came up and the phones were ringing off the hook in the office, a typical conversation would go like this:

CUTE OFFICE MANAGER - “The phone calls are 1500 to 3, against the Gang of 8 Bill.”

TYPICAL BOUGHT-OUT REPUBLICAN: “Good, that means 698,500 other people in the district support the Gang of 8 Bill, which is a ratio of 400 to 1 in favor. Therefore I’m voting for it. Those 1500 were just doing what talk radio told them to do.”

It also didn’t help to load up their advisers, staffs, and pollsters with a far disproportionate number of gay men. It’s not too much to simply ask people a couple of personal life questions, or at least check social media before instantly hiring them.
