I don't see how this can be a negative for Trump. OK, so the people who didn't like him anyway will spin this that he is "chickening out" and "can't take the heat." That's to be expected. These are the same people that if Trump attended this media lynching, would be high-fiving each other all night long as Megyn Kelly & Co. got their digs in.

But all Trump's supporters will respect him for standing up for himself and will support him all the more.

How about the 30% of Iowa voters that are undecided or the additional 20% who say they could change their vote? The man who already called Iowa voters stupid bow takes his soccer ball and goes home. Think that will play well in Dubuque with conservatives?
