...In the tweet, Sasse takes issue with how Trump "brags" about "many affairs." That's up for debate, including whether Trump had more than one affair. Trump wrote that he once considered an open marriage with his first wife, and in his book "The Art of the Comeback" he said: "If I told the real stories of my experiences with women, often seemingly very happily married and important women, this book would be a guaranteed best-seller."

Trump has also said: "I have too much respect for women in general, but if I did [write about my love life], the world would take serious notice. Beautiful, famous, successful, married — I've had them all, secretly, the world's biggest names..."

It’s the same with this debate news.

Trump says hell no. Take your sham debate and shove it.

Cruz would go, get shafted, and then depend on blogs and talk radio to “voice his displeasure”, in some hope that will actually result in anything.

This is not meant as a criticism, simply saying that Trump paid women for their services while Bill didn't.

And you know this how -- about either of them? Citation?

But I am sure Trump will accomplish a lot passing McConnell and Schumer’s bills. Sounds like a dream scenario.

Cruz has accomplished a wide range of things. He built a coalition to stop the DEM/GOPe/Chamber amnesty bill, as a centerpiece. He’s rebuilt a collapsed conservative movement, rebuilding the movement to get rid of Obamacare. The party was ready to waive the white flag.

Let’s hear Trump’s legislative success stories and his history of building conservative political power. Oh yeah, he funded McConnell’s destroy conservative candidates movement way back in 2014. He funded Reid, Pelosi and Schumer. Cruz was out front fighting those same people. Hearing Trump-cult people trash Cruz who was fighting for what you supposedly believe in while Trump was funding the opposition is nothing short of dumb. I was open to Trump until he adopted radical leftwing arguments and now allies himself with the very people who have destroyed our country. He’s more of the same.

Cruz has accomplished a wide range of things.”

Things?

You didn’t mention anything but the same gang of eight talking point, and then accredit him as “He’s rebuilt a collapsed conservative movement”, which is self-serving bullsh*t. He didn’t do that! Where do you people get off just giving him that credit? What EXACTLY did he do? Maybe you forgot that part because it was so awesome that words cannot convey it?

The Myth of Ted Cruz: Just don’t ask for details!

Have fun with your liberal-supporting hack and when he turns his back on you, we’ll all have a nice told you so. Anyone with an ounce of conservatism can see what this is now. It was fun for awhile and promising that he would shake things up, but it’s become clear there’s no there there. He’s got you fooled. If he wins, I hope for the best, but I suspect we’re going to get a left of center friend of the elites who will only make things worse. If you ignore everything coming out of his mouth, you might think differently. Watching you and the others turn their guns on a conservative champion is gross and disappointing. If you chose another candidate, fine, but this chapter of Freerepublic and conservatism may well kill off the best opportunity we have left to build a conservative reform movement. Who would be dumb enough to take a tough stand in the future when the guns will be pointed right back at them in a heartbeat?
