The last time I had heard these roads labeled “Chaos and Lawlessness” was in June of 1944. For a good reason.
Europe is about to find out what happens to a people when they become too civilized to do what’s necessary to survive in an uncivilized world, and I just hope we can learn from their example.
French truck drivers have no weapons. Try that with some of our “cowboys”. I have a lot of respect for (US) truckers.

I recollect in Rome way back when, that if a driver killed a pedestrian on the sidewalk, it was the driver's fault, and if on the street, the pedestrians fault. Seemed like a good compromise! As a result, us touristas were generally off the streets.
I’m glad I visited that area before this happened. Won’t be going back. Tourism is yuuge in France, and it’s going to suffer.
I wonder what Luxembourg is doing about this situation. That’s an open border, or was. They use Peruvians for most of the labor there.
