As stated before:
Unless you have a working magic 8 ball, your argument is nonsensical.
By the way, the same exact argument was said of Ronald Reagan. âHeâs too conservative to win...â
Hogwash!!!
Since when are we ashamed of being conservatives? Since when do we, as conservatives have to give up on our principles for the sake of winning? Or should I say, since when has that worked?
Romney, McCain, Dole... All of these progressive candidates were âelectableâ.
That is just an old GOPe tactic which flat out does not result in anything factual.
Cruz is certainly electable: he was elected to the US Senate, and he will be elected as our nominee, and then the next President.
Reagan was a multiple married, Hollywood, former democrat, union leader from California. Lot’s of people questioned his credentials. But he won.
We don't. But until we can find a conservative candidate with a pleasant personality and charisma, we are just pissing into the wind.
Then, as in the last two presidential elections, the true conservatives sit out the election and allow the liberal to win. Do not allow that to happen again. Yeah, Trump has some warts, but so did Churchill.
By the way, the same exact argument was said of Ronald Reagan. He's too conservative to win...Reagan was honest and genuine. Cruz is a deceitful fraud.
Romney, McCain, Dole... All of these progressive candidates were “electableable”Â.
That is just an old GOPe tactic which flat out does not result in anything factual.

In reality, McCain and Dole were “our turn” Republicans who inspired absolutely no one.
McCain was running as an establishment Republican while Rome burned (economic meltdown)
Dole was positively ancient, running against a fairly popular Democrat while times were good.
Romney campaigned was like watching prevent defense. He actually did well when he attacked but was overwhelmed the last 3 weeks of the election. If you study the results, had Romney received 500K votes in key states, he would have won the election in 2012.
Was George W. Bush a conservative? Cause he barely won and the voter rolls are very different now, 16 years later.
We need someone shouting from the rooftops with media savvy. Conservatives need to get out from behind their keyboards and go to these polling places to see what our problem is. We are overrun with unqualified voters and the Republican party is powerless to do much about it since they are still under an order from the court regarding cleaning the voter rolls.
There it is. Its the 9th inning.
Somehow I really doubt it’s a question of who is more conservative, at this time. I hear the argument against Trump and understand it completely. But screaming about being more conservative, just isn’t what’s moving the voters this time. It’s unfortunate, but it’s a reality.
However, it’s a completely different world today than it was in 1980. I lived it, maybe you did as well.
To witness the globalization coming from all corners, to see and hear all the new foreigners everywhere, to realize muslim cells are HERE, to see the utter chaos in Europe, and to just recognize the out of control spending - all these factors add up to one thing - people are tired of being sold political talk, tired of fighting against the wind and are in desperate need of serious push back.
Perhaps Ted could do all that and more, but his message did not come out that way. Contrasted against Trump, he comes off like a pretty typical politician. You may recognize that he’s anything but, it’s just that non-political people DO NOT.
I personally am not influenced by any endorsements. What influences me at all, is the conversations with people I trust who understand the inner workings far better than the average person.
