So did mine Dad would tape the Larenence Welk program every week and take the tape to the care facility who took care of mom. Each night after dinner they would watch the same show. Because of the dementia it was new to her each night. During the day the staff played the show repeatedly for the other residents. It was always a big hit. REPEATEDLY!

That’s such a sweet story. My folks used to watch Lawrence Welk every week. I vaguely remember Bobby (think he was a Mouseketeer) and Cissy as I loved to dance.

Off topic, but if some of you are looking for something to do before the speech (perhaps not as I know most of you are working, doing chores, cooking dinner, etc.)here’s a link to the Diamond and Silk Table Talk Episode 10 - it’s a little over 33 minutes. As most of you know these sisters LOVE Trump and he’s called them up at a couple of his events. They re-registered to Republican so they could vote for him. In this episode they praise Sarah, talk about the film 13 hours and lack of support for our folks, and a few other things. The only thing I took some objection to is that they seemed to blame Gov Snyder for the Flint water issue. While I think he should have know about it and probably stepped in, from the little I’ve read on it, the blame goes to the Mayor of Flint.

There are some other recent videos on the site that are only a couple of minutes long. Including one on Megyn Kelly and one on the NR Gang of 22 (they weren’t too kind on either :-).

What a sweet memory.....

....my mom had dementia too....
...but she entertained the nursing home (where she was staying) with her piano playing...
....to the very end, she could remember all the notes to many songs
She was beloved
