Better to travel with someone - ideally a blood relative
The General Authority for Islamic Affairs, the official centre for issuing fatwas and endowments, has stated that it is permissible for a woman to travel by taxi or in a chauffeur-driven car alone, to work for example.
It is not ‘haram’ as long as the car is moving on the road, Al Khaleej newspaper reported the authority as saying.
The authority based its advisory on the view that roads are full of people.
Therefore, the woman in such places is safe and secure with people all around her without the presence of a ‘mahram’ (blood relative, such as son, brother or father).
The authority recommended the woman sit in the back seat of the car and abide by Sharia law governing dress and speech.
The authority added that it is best if the woman travels with a ‘mahram’ or with another woman accompanying her.
But it is wrong to come to a complete stop even to exit the car, so it is better if the woman jumps out at a minimum speed of 5 miles per hour.
Because know they have a lot of goat-starved rapists running around.

I was in the Emirates in the 80’s and expat women could drive alone and us teenagers could even go to the public beach and the girls could wear a bikini. We might get a lot of attention with men slowly creeping up and staring and who knows what else under their dish dash. Generally always went to a private beach at one of the hotels.

as a private executive driver I was once called upon to transport 3 very wealthy Emirati women out to the Mauna Lani Bay Hotelwith no one but me an unrelated male infidel in the car with the women. they reek of expensive European perfume so much I could barely breathe. Then one of them produced on iphone with a audio jack and requested that I plug it into the car sound system. Which I did.there came on the latest in hot pot Iraqi tunes. they demanded, turn it up!in bus I had to drive over 50 miles with these pukes ,reeking of perfume, and listening to this extremely boring stupid music. I’ve been in there that if I could ever pay back some Muslims by waterboarding them for an appropriate period of time I would do so.and not a single god damn tip
